The Cyprus Scouts Association

The Cyprus Scouts Association was founded in 1913 aiming to contribute to the education of young people, through a system of values based on the Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled individuals and play a constructive role in society.

This is achieved by involving children in a non-formal education process, by focusing on each child's individuality and making them the principal agent of their own development as a self-reliant, supportive, responsible and committed person.

Children are divided into three groups based on their age: Cubs from ages 7 to 10, Scouts from ages 11 to 14 and Explorers from ages 15 to 17. The children gather at their local meeting points every Saturday or Sunday, depending on the district from approximately 3pm to 430pm, during which time they engage in training, games, outdoor activities, singing and much more.

Information can be found at local Scout Centres , schools or by calling 22663587. The annual fee for participation in the Cyprus Scouts Association is approximately 30 and registration takes place during the first three Saturdays after schools start, so for this year September 15th, 22nd and 29th.
