WORKS
The Technical Department of the Municipality informs the public that between 20 - 24/05/2013 the following structures will be conducted:

• Trade construction work on the feast of the Flood
• Maintenance old Primary residence located on the street Neophytou Rodinou No. 6 (continued)
• Work premix routes Kitheronos, P. Kountoutiotou, Christodoulos Iakovidi

FINANCE DEPARTMENT

The Economics Department of the Municipality of Larnaca, informs the public that for the year of 2012 and for previous years, it continues to be the redemption of the Municipal Property Tax Property Rights chaff, tax professional and licensed professionals

Larnaca citizens should trim its debts to the Larnaca Municipality within the specified time limits to avoid paying additional attorney and court costs.

WASTE WATER PROJECTS
Larnaca Sewerage Board informs the public that between 20-26/5/2013 construction works will be carried out at the following streets:

• Section Avenue Artemis direction from airport to city center will be closed from over N. Dimitriou up over a street Epirus. The park, located near the church of Our Lady Revealed is closed.
• Street Zakynthos (outside Pumping Station)
• From Aristophanes to Street roundabout Revealed bidirectional movement of vehicles.

ΟΙΚΟΝΟΜΙΚΟ ΤΜΗΜΑ 

Το Οικονομικό Τμήμα του Δήμου Λάρνακας, πληροφορεί το κοινό ότι για το έτος 2012 καθώς επίσης και για τα προηγούμενα χρόνια συνεχίζεται να γίνεται η εξόφληση του   Δημοτικού Φόρου Ακίνητης Ιδιοκτησίας, Δικαιωμάτων Σκυβάλων, Επαγγελματικού Φόρου και Αδειών Επαγγελματικών Υποστατικών στα γραφεία του Δήμου Λάρνακας μόνο, με   προσεπιβάρυνση 10% πάνω στην αρχική φορολογία.

Παρακαλείται το κοινό όπως τακτοποιήσει τις οφειλές του προς το Δήμο Λάρνακας έγκαιρα και μέσα στα καθορισμένα χρονικά περιθώρια προς αποφυγή πληρωμής πρόσθετων δικηγορικών και δικαστικών εξόδων.

ΑΠΟΧΕΤΕΥΤΙΚΑ ΕΡΓΑ 

Το Συμβούλιο Αποχετεύσεων Λάρνακας πληροφορεί το κοινό ότι μεταξύ των ημερομηνιών

20–26/5/2013 θα διεξάγονται κατασκευαστικά έργα στους πιο κάτω δρόμους:

• Το τμήμα της Λεωφ. Αρτέμιδος με κατεύθυνση από αεροδρόμιο προς κεντρο πόλης θα είναι κλειστό από πάροδο Ν. Δημητρίου μέχρι πάροδο με οδό Ηπείρου.  Το πάρκο που βρίσκεται κοντά στην εκκλησία της Παναγίας Φανερωμένης είναι κλειστό.
• Οδός Ζακύνθου (έξω από Αντλιοστάσιο)
• Από Οδός Αριστοφάνους μέχρι Κυκλικό κόμβο Φανερωμένης με αμφίδρομη κίνηση των οχημάτων.

Concert :"Together for Larnaca and for our common man"

LARNACA Municipality and Kiti Metropolis are organising a concert on Monday, May 27 in cooperation with the local communities of Aradippou, Lefkara, Athienou, Leivadia and Dromolaxia–Meneou in an effort to collect food for the needy.

The concert named ‘Together for Larnaca and for our common man’ will take place on the Phinikoudes beach and will be opened by the philharmonic orchestra at 4pm. From 6pm until midnight well-known artists from Cyprus and Greece like Anna Vissi, Evridiki and George Theophanous, amongst others, will perform popular hits for the crowd.

Instead of an entry ticket, those who want to contribute can buy food or other necessities which they can deposit at special drop-off points.

Organisers ask for food which does not have a recent sell-by-date to be preferred by anyone who would like to donate anything. Items like pulses, tinned food, rice, pasta, flour, grains, nuts, biscuits, condensed milk, baby milk, baby food and nappies are preferable.

All of the donated goods will be given to the Larnaca community market and other volunteer organisations so they can be given out to the needy. Around 600 volunteers will also take part in organising the event.

Baileys and chocolate cheesecake

The smooth, creamy liqueur gives this celebration cheesecake the wow factor. Top with grated chocolate and a dusting of cocoa.

Ingredients

100g/3½oz butter

250g/8¾oz digestive biscuits, crushed

600g/1lb 5oz Philadelphia cream cheese

25ml/1fl oz Baileys

100ml/3½oz icing sugar

300ml/10½oz double cream, whipped

100g/3½oz grated chocolate To garnish

200ml/7¼oz double cream, whipped

cocoa powder, to dust

Preparation method

Melt the butter in a pan and add the crushed digestive biscuits. Mix well until the biscuits have absorbed all the butter.

Remove from the heat and press into the bottom of a lined 18cm/7in springform tin. Place in the refrigerator and allow to set for one hour.

Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Lightly whip the cream cheese then beat in the Bailey's and icing sugar. Fold in the whipped cream and grated chocolate. When smooth, spoon evenly onto the biscuits.

Refrigerate and allow to set for a further two hours. Once set, remove and decorate with whipped cream and cocoa powder dusted over the top. Serve.
